Pegasus Group’s East Midlands team are delighted they have received a recommendation for approval on behalf of Derbyshire County Council at Derby City’s planning committee on 11th February for a new junction on the A50 and connecting link road to Infinity Park Way, on the south side of Derby.

A50 map to Infinity Park WayThe new A50 junction and link road to Infinity Park Way is a key piece of infrastructure that unlocks land allocated for employment and housing proposed as part of Infinity Garden Village and the planned strategic growth at the south of Derby. Through improving accessibility to the area, the new A50 junction and link road could enable the creation of up to 5,000 jobs and an annual gross value-added contribution to the area estimated at £53.6 million, and support the creation of at least 2,000 houses.

The project  included an extensive pre-application engagement process which was led by Pegasus Group and resulted in only two letters of objection.

The benefits of the scheme are deemed to outweigh any landscape, visual or other environmental effects and will bring environmental benefit in the form of substantial biodiversity net gain.
