Supporting the services that keep our country running
To serve communities effectively, the Public Sector depends on a built infrastructure that empowers people and services to perform at their best. From schools and hospitals to workplaces, housing and public facilities, every environment must support those who deliver essential services and the people who rely on them every day.
Achieving Public Sector infrastructure targets isn’t easy. Time and budget pressures, regulatory requirements, and public scrutiny all add to the complexity. At Pegasus, we have more than two decades’ experience delivering large, highly regulated developments with multiple stakeholders, which means we’re not only comfortable with this sort of complexity – we’re built for it.
Our multidisciplinary teams span design, planning, building surveying, project management and more, providing the combined breadth and depth of experience needed to provide a full picture view. And we take a hands-on approach from day one, helping our clients get ahead of risks early while staying close to delivery so we can react quickly when circumstances change.
Together, we provide the commercial insight and decision-making support needed to help the Public Sector ensure public funds are spent where they will have the greatest impact.

We have advised on over 300 schools and university projects, from standalone builds and expansions to those integrated into residential developments. We know how tight constraints in education are. Our approach combines early intervention and proactive stakeholder management to align priorities, reduce risk, and tackle obstacles quickly. That way, contractors can get on site fast to deliver the learning spaces communities really need.
With over 20 years’ experience in residential housing, we are a trusted commercial partner for strategic defence housing projects. But housing is just the start. From operational bases to technical infrastructure and community land use programmes, our diverse teams of specialists can work across the defence estate. By applying innovative cross-sector thinking, we support decision-making and delivery outcomes that underpin the nation’s security.

Healthy built environments support healthy individuals and communities. Our specialist teams bring years of commercial experience to healthcare projects, allowing hospitals, NHS trusts, care boards and contractors to make smart decisions upfront and avoid costly problems during planning and construction. By keeping lines of communication open, we help clients stay on top of issues as they arise, so even the most complex projects achieve the best patient outcomes
