The multidisciplinary development consultancy’s new office in the heart of Leeds is set to support growth plans in North England
19th May 2025 – Today, leading property development consultancy Pegasus Group, has announced its move into a new Leeds office as part of an ambitious growth plan for the North of England.
Located in the heart of the city, the office will house Pegasus’s 40-plus and growing team as the business expands its multidisciplinary offer for the region. This news follows similar movements in Newcastle, Bristol, Cambridge, and Edinburgh, where Pegasus has moved into new offices to support long-term strategic growth across the UK.
In Leeds, from its new base at Capitol at Bond Court, Pegasus will continue to support clients across the North. The consultancy has recently strengthened its planning, environment and heritage teams, and is set to introduce an urban design service line. This addition will enhance the team’s capabilities in commercial and residential development, including strategic land promotion.
Building upon recent advisory work on major projects – including a significant mixed use commercial and residential development at Barnsley West; the Clifton Enterprise Zone near Brighouse that has created new employment opportunities; and Our Cultural Heart in the centre of Huddersfield – Pegasus is targeting a growing number of opportunities in metropolitan locations.
Leeds is also a key Pegasus centre for renewable energy, working with clients from across the UK on solar, wind and bioenergy projects. To that end, Pegasus recently appointed a new Leeds-based Planning Director, Chris Binns, to spearhead the consultancy’s ‘grid-led’ approach to help renewable developers secure land and connection as early as possible in compliance with the Government’s new National Energy System Operator.
Commenting on the move, Executive Director at Pegasus Group’s Leeds Office, Chris Calvert, said: “Having led the team in Leeds since we first moved into the city in 2007, it’s been incredible to see our journey over the past 13 years and to see that momentum has not slowed. The new office is a perfect springboard to not only better serve the needs of our existing clients, but to build a team that can offer them more.
“Our team has a strong reputation for its energy sector work, which we will continue to nurture and build. Now with our strengthened team in a new city-centre location, we are excited to work on new opportunities with our residential and commercial clients that are shaping urban centres across the North.”
Also commenting, the CEO of Pegasus Group, Douglas McCormick, said: “It’s great to see our colleagues in Leeds moving into a prestigious new location. Our national growth drive is on track to deepen our support for existing clients and broaden our services to new ones. Chris and his teams’ work in Leeds is set to play a crucial role in our UK-wide plan.”
