New hire signals growth plans in the north-east for Pegasus Group as Planning Director joins from Fairhurst
Leading multidisciplinary development consultancy, Pegasus Group, has today announced the appointment of Dominic Waugh as Senior Director of Planning in its Newcastle office.
Prior to joining Pegasus Group, Dominic was Principal Director for Planning at engineering consultancy Fairhurst, where he worked for almost 20 years. The announcement follows the appointment last month of Eleanor Scott, who joined Pegasus Group’s Newcastle office as a Senior Heritage Consultant from Northumberland County Council. The Newcastle office now boasts 17 team members, specialising in urban design, heritage, and planning consultancy.
With nearly two decades of experience as a Chartered Town Planner, Dominic has managed, coordinated and delivered a vast array of development projects for a wide range of clients including housebuilders, educational institutions, and PLC companies. Having worked on a number of high-profile projects, including the development of strategic industrial land in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and providing planning consultancy for the staging of Kynren in Bishop Auckland, he brings a wealth of experience to the role.
His appointment comes at a time of growth for Pegasus Group, with Dominic tasked with developing and diversifying the work undertaken by the Newcastle office’s planning team. Dominic will be utilising his expertise in numerous sectors including education, strategic infrastructure and city centre regeneration to support growth across the north-east region.
