Katie is an experienced Landscape Architect with particular expertise in Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA). She has a proven ability to produce high quality technical reports and well considered design solutions in both urban and rural contexts across a range of sectors, including residential and mixed use schemes; highways; rail infrastructure; commercial property; and sites located within sensitive landscapes and the green belt. Katie’s experience in landscape planning is growing all the time and her services as an expert witness are now also beginning to be sought.
Katie enjoys the challenge of the iterative design and assessment of large scale projects and before she joined Pegasus was one of a team of lead authors of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the High Speed 2 rail project. More recently she has completed work on an outline application for a proposed sustainable urban extension in Leicestershire, consisting of over 1,000 new homes, a school, local centre and the associated green infrastructure framework.
Katie’s other wide-ranging experience includes landscape character assessment, green belt review and analysis, minewater treatment schemes, highways assessment and planting design, urban design strategies, graphics, mapping and the coordination of environmental assessment reports.
