The work of Pegasus Group’s landscape team has been singled out for special mention in an award-winning project.
ArchitecturePLB scooped a RIBA South Award 2021 for the new Promega UK Headquarters. Pegasus Group were the landscape architects on the project, providing detailed design and overseeing the implementation of the new gardens.
Highlighting the finished result, judges give special mention to the gardens: “The views towards the garden and beyond are successful and the landscaping scheme is worthy of praise. The garden is better than in most homes, complete with a dedicated yoga space. It feels pruned and pristine…”
Teresa Hazelwood, Landscape Design Director from Pegasus Group’s Cirencester office, said: “To hear that the project had won was such exciting news and we are absolutely thrilled to be part of the award-winning team.
“This was one of those dream projects that don’t come along too often, working with a wonderful client with high design aspirations. As such, we were able to create a scheme that not only fulfilled the brief, but hopefully surpassed it.”
Promega UK is biotech business based on Southampton Science Park.
Judges concluded: “Promega UK is a good building and is a credit to a client that is evidently passionate and forward thinking about the workplace. This building looks and feels like a very high end, well-crafted office that will be an enjoyable space to occupy whilst offering the flexibility that the client requires. We hope that this project will encourage other businesses to aim equally high and elevate the standard of architecture within a business park context.”
