Appointments of Catherine Thorpe, Rana Alidad and Tim Slater continue growth of consultancy’s full service offering
13th October 2025 – Leading multidisciplinary development consultancy, Pegasus Group, has today announced several senior appointments to its Transport & Infrastructure team with the arrival of Catherine Thorpe as Director of Environmental Engineering, Rana Alidad as Director of Water, and Tim Slater as Director of Transport.
Catherine and Rana’s appointments signal a strategic move by Pegasus Group to expand the Infrastructure team’s expertise in water management. Together they will increase Pegasus’ water services offering, advising clients on increasingly important development topics including the recently updated Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) guidance, and flood risk. Working alongside the ecology, landscape and urban design teams they will also provide specialised advice that incorporates biodiversity net gain (BNG), ecology and landscape planning. In the longer term, they will build Pegasus’s expertise in river restoration, hydrogeology, reservoirs, and public sector framework services.
The arrival of Tim Slater as Director in the Transport team, based in the Cirencester office, highlights Pegasus Group’s continued expansion plans in western England. Tim’s 25 years of experience in transport planning and sustainable transport projects will make a valuable contribution to the firm’s growth in the region.
Catherine joins Pegasus from Gavia Environmental, a specialist environmental consultancy in Scotland. She previously worked in the Engineering teams for BWB and RPS consultancies. Having worked on a wide range of environmental, drainage and water projects in England & Scotland, Catherine will help to implement an integrated approach to facilitate client projects in the development sector.
Rana arrives at Pegasus after serving as the national lead for the water team at Hydrock, now Stantec. Working across masterplan design and testing to guide flood risk planning services, Rana will look to enhance Pegasus’ flood risk management capability and implement new hydraulic modelling and assessment for the design of mitigation strategies.
Tim joins Pegasus after three years at Rappor and more than 20 years at PFA Consulting. Tim brings expertise gained from working across transport planning, sustainable projects and major Central London development schemes including One Blackfriars and St George Wharf in Vauxhall.
Commenting on the appointments, Craig Rawlinson, Executive Director of Transport at Pegasus said: “It is a pleasure to welcome Catherine, Rana and Tim to the team.
