Key Project Information
Thoresby Estate comprises 3,400 hectares of farmland and forestry with over 150 residential and commercial properties. The Estate continues to evolve and diversify, developing and converting land and buildings to offer new commercial and retail opportunities across the Estate, which also includes land at Edwinstowe, Ollerton and Budby. Redundant farm buildings have been converted to provide new, vibrant operations supporting Sherwood Forest tourism, selling local produce and employing local people in a range of roles. The Estate works in partnership with the RSPB, the Woodland Trust, Nottinghamshire County Council and Newark & Sherwood District Council to help deliver jobs, provide conservation education projects and to increase tourism to the area.
We have undertaken various project work on behalf of Thoresby Estate (Trustees of Thoresby Settlement) to assist them in the management of their assets. Project work includes: residential planning applications; a farm shop; re-use of agricultural & estate buildings for various uses including a polo club and charity education uses; promotion of land for commercial purposes and heritage and conservation work.
