  • Tatton Estate is a filming location for the BBC hit series – Peaky Blinders, The Worst Witch and some big screen movies such as Tolkien. We achieved deemed consent for 3 separate temporary filming studios on the estate to help facilitate the Estate’s diversification.

The client’s objectives have been wide ranging depending upon the individual scheme. We have been able to deliver the expertise required in every instance to ensure development success.

We have offered a range of expertise relating to the over 400 properties and 5,000 acres of land principally located in Cheshire East, ranging from town centre retail premises, edge of settlement development opportunities for residential and commercial development, community sporting facilities, rural diversification schemes, community infrastructure projects, landscape renewal programs and a new, eco-friendly motorway service area.

We recently secured a detailed permission for 237 homes on the edge of Knutsford for the Estate and Bellway Homes. We have also secured permission for the conversion of numerous agricultural barns and other properties to offices, wedding venues and other commercial uses.

Tatton Estate is also a filming location for the BBC hit series – Peaky Blinders, The Worst Witch and some big screen movies such as Tolkien. We achieved deemed consent for 3 separate temporary filming studios on the estate to help facilitate the Estate’s diversification in this regard. Each cover a 1.5 ha, within which a number of structures and buildings can be provided on a temporary basis. Pegasus Group also obtained permission for a 3D Printing Lab for Manchester Metropolitan University and Tatton Estate to reuse a redundant farmstead building under the prior approval process.

We have also advised the Estate in terms of infrastructure projects that cross over their land including HS2 and the A556 dualling works and continue to prepare representations towards any emerging local and neighbourhood plan policies that may affect the operation of the Estate and its ability to evolve.
