An experienced landscape planner with a passion for renewable energy has joined Pegasus Group as a Director.
Jonathan Evans joins Pegasus Group’s Cirencester office as the new Landscape Planning Director from another multi-disciplinary consultancy, where he spent more than 15 years.

He has worked on a string of significant projects, including Gateway Peterborough, a 73-hectare distribution and manufacturing park, taking the scheme through outline planning consent and reserved matters.
Jonathan was also influential on Warth Park, a 232,000 sq m prime logistics park in Raunds, which includes a 20-hectare country park and employs 2,000 people.
Other notable projects include design and implementation of the landscaping for a new home for Everards Brewery in Leicestershire, including 30 hectares of greenspace. For the past ten years he has led the masterplanning, EIA and landscape services at Bishops Stortford North – a mixed use scheme providing up to 2,200 new homes, two Local Centres and Primary Schools, 21,000m2 of employment, and around 59 ha of multifunctional greenspace and landscape habitats.
Jonathan also has experience in delivery of National Planning Policy Framework Paragraph 80 exceptional dwellings cases and nationally significant infrastructure projects requiring Development Consent Orders (DCO).
Jonathan said he was looking forward to working on more projects that have renewable energy at their core.
“It’s an exciting time in the renewables sector and it’s a great opportunity for Pegasus Group and myself personally to help shape the future,” he said.
“We all have a part to play in delivering a new energy strategy that will inevitably include solar together with on and offshore wind.”
