Details of a new housing development bringing 180 homes to an eight and a half hectares site in Ruddington received approval late in 2020.

Rushcliffe Borough Council approved the Reserved Matters submission of appearance, landscaping, layout and scale from William Davis Homes.

Ruddington detailed layoutPegasus Group produced the outline planning application on behalf of William Davis Homes and prepared the reserved matters application, providing urban design and landscape design for the project.

The development is being built off the roundabout at the junction of the A60 Loughborough Road and Mere Way, near Ruddington Fields Business Park.

Wesley Bray, Design Director based in Pegasus Group’s East Midlands office who worked on the project, said: “We are delighted to have supported William Davis Homes through this application and continue to work with them across a number of sites.

“The layout was designed to maximise the existing landscape setting and enhance it through the provision of different character areas, the countryside edges and the green links connecting through the development.”

James Chatterton for William Davis Homes, said: “We are delighted to see this project moving forward and it’s testament to the strong working relationship William Davis Homes has with Pegasus Group’s design team in helping to achieve a successful outcome.”

The scheme will deliver a range of flats, bungalows and two to four bedroom family homes. There is also a children’s play area included in the proposals, along with public spaces, strategic planting and wildlife corridors.

Rushcliffe Council said the scheme had been amended based on consultations to ensure, subject to conditions, it was suitable to approve the Reserved Matters application.
