We are delighted that Haymarket has shortlisted the Fred Winter Centre for the Award For Stakeholder Engagement in Planning in the upcoming Planning Awards in June.
This project brought together a number of stakeholders and partners to create a community hub, supporting local people in Stratford-upon-Avon, focussing on providing accommodation for people at risk of homelessness, plus a range of services with an ambition to address homelessness and hardship in the area. The collaborative approach to the project has been commended in the planning committee meetings.
It will help to improve the local community’s health and wellbeing, overcome financial hardship, secure job opportunities and sustain tenancies in local affordable homes.
This centre could set a precedent as a potential successful model for preventing homelessness.
