As an Associate Environmental Planner within Pegasus Group, Sarah is responsible for coordinating environmental impact assessment (EIA) projects which includes the day-to-day project management of multi-disciplinary teams and auditing a wide range of environmental disciplines to facilitate the production of Environmental Statements (ES). She is also involved with co-ordinating environmental work on non-EIA projects for planning submission in addition to the promotion of large strategic schemes alongside the planning team.
Sarah has extensive experience having been the lead environmental consultant on a variety of project types including large scale residential schemes, city retail redevelopment projects, mixed use developments incorporating park and rides, highways infrastructure, commercial developments including Motor Way Service Areas, and landfill redevelopment. Her role begins at the outset of projects, including the preparation of screening and scoping documentation, inviting and briefing consultants to tender for discipline specific input, day-to-day project management, right through to producing a regulatory compliant ES suitable for submission.
The day-to-day management of projects, both EIA and non-EIA developments, requires liaising with a wide variety of specialist environmental consultants, urban designers, town planners, in tandem with local authorities and clients. These responsibilities have provided Sarah with a thorough working knowledge of EIA Regulatory requirements and specialist disciplines, enabling a firm understanding of the issues which may arise during the course of a project.
