Robert joined Pegasus Group as an Associate in October 2005 from David Lock Associates where he was involved in a number of major projects including Northstowe, the planned new settlement north of Cambridge. Whilst at DLA Robert also project managed the comprehensive redevelopment of the former Vauxhall Motors site in Luton, now known as Napier Park, one of the key regeneration sites in the town. This scheme included a significant element of commercial and retail uses within the development mix and Robert has continued to be involved in this scheme. Acting as project manager, Rob has been responsible for the drafting and co-ordination of all of the planning submissions for Napier Park and its neighbouring site Stirling Place, a mixed use scheme that includes a new station connection, together with co-ordinating the environmental assessment material.
Prior to joining David Lock Associates, Robert was Land and Planning Manager for Westbury Homes’ Nottingham Region. Responsible for the management and promotion of the company’s longer term strategic land interests as well as project managing the company’s strategic and detailed planning applications, Robert has experience in dealing with a wide range of land, planning and commercial issues. At Westbury, Robert was heavily involved in redevelopment of large scale brownfield sites.
Before joining Westbury, Robert spent three years with the midlands-based consultancy Samuel Rose, dealing with a wide range of development projects, 10 years as a Senior Planner at Harborough District Council where he was responsible for securing a wide range of development proposals including major housing, business and commercial development, plus periods at Banff and Buchan District Council and Durham City Council early in his career.
