Mark has been with Pegasus Group for over 13 years and has worked on a significant range of planning projects during this time, including strategic housing and large mixed use sites, food-retail, out of centre drive-through restaurants, changes of use, enforcement cases and advertisement applications. This comprises input at all stages of planning from site promotion, outline and full planning submissions and appeals. Clients have included developers, housebuilders, pension funds, retail operators (i.e. major supermarkets), as well as private individuals.
As an Associate Planner within Pegasus Group, Mark particularly deals with the day-to-day project management of a variety of large scale and complex housing and employment applications and appeals, working alongside a wide variety of specialists such as architects, ecologists, transport planners, solicitors, barristers and surveyors. Mark has significant experience, and is extremely capable, at liaising with a project team to progress according to strict programmes, requiring active and effective management to address issues that arise in order to meet project timescales.
Mark also has experience promoting sites through the Local Plan and Neighbourhood Plan process and representing clients at hearings.
Mark has an excellent understanding of development management issues, and the legislative framework for the planning system itself, with particular expertise in Green Belt matters, and permitted development rights.
