Laura joined Pegasus group in 2016, with over 15 years’ experience in the heritage sector, with projects in both the public and private sector.
Based in the Leeds office, Laura has acted as Lead Heritage Consultant on numerous projects from stand-alone commissions to major national infrastructure projects and has provided advice on the historic environment to support Hybrid Bills, DCO’s, planning applications and other consent regimes.
Laura has particular expertise in assessing large-scale infrastructure projects and energy schemes and the assessment of setting and articulating how this contributes towards the significance of heritage assets. Through this, she is able to provide robust assessments of how change resulting from developments would affect significance.
Clients recognise Laura’s ability to provide solutions to heritage related issues. She has a proven track record of negotiation and consultation with statutory and local stakeholders, as well as providing advice during masterplanning to deliver a successful project which exceeds client expectations and satisfies the requirements of LPA Officers and other consultees.
Laura has acted as heritage expert witness, giving evidence at planning inquires and has acted for clients at a number of local plan examination hearings.
