Since joining Pegasus Group as a Senior Planner in 2007, Hanna has been involved with, and now leads, the promotion of a portfolio of strategic residential, commercial and mixed use sites across the across the country. Hanna has in depth knowledge of the plan making process and regularly prepares representations to planning policy consultations and attends Local Plan inquiries on behalf of clients.
Hanna has lead the preparation of planning application submissions for strategic residential, commercial and mixed use sites, most of which have qualified as EIA development and therefore required additional co-ordination and project management expertise. A notable and award winning scheme, in which Hanna played a key role in obtaining planning permission, is the Gloucester Gateway MSA (known as Gloucester Services), located on the M5 Motorway.
A specialism Hanna has significant experience in is the demographic and numerical aspects of determining the appropriate level of housing need at the local and housing market area level. A proficient user of the Chelmer Model, Hanna prepares demographic and housing market evidence to support planning policy representations and S78 appeal inquiry evidence.
Hanna acts for a number of national housebuilders, land promoters and commercial operators.
Prior to joining Pegasus Group, Hanna was employed by the Home Builders Federation (HBF). This provided valuable experience in planning for residential development, particularly relating to the planning policy process.
