Claire’s experience is built upon an undergraduate degree in architecture, where she learned about architectural and landscape design history in addition to the conception of contemporary design. The relationship between the two led her to undertake an MSc in Historic Conservation, which provided her with a firm basis for her subsequent experience in the heritage sector. This was supplemented by an MA in Archaeological Practice, which provided her with a more holistic view of the historic environment.
Claire joined Pegasus Group in 2017 with over 5 years’ experience in the heritage sector, with projects in both the public and private sector. Claire can provide Heritage Statements to support Planning Permission and other heritage related applications.
Based the London office, Claire has also been involved with impact assessments of a number of tall building schemes on the setting of heritage assets, and also has experience in the preparation of Townscape and Visual Impact Assessments across the country. Claire also has proven success in negotiating with Local Planning Authorities, Historic England and other stakeholders in coming to a solution that will satisfy all parties, including clients.
