Alison joined Pegasus Group in 2014 from a London based planning consultancy where she pursued an interest in rural estate planning and community liaison to assist both land promotion and planning applications.
Alison advises a number of large landowning estates and rural planning is one of her specialisms. This has ranged from town and village housing and employment schemes to equestrian and agricultural development, from rural building conversions to recreation uses.
During her career, Alison has organised and managed many public consultation events, relating to retail superstores, urban residential schemes, strategic land promotion and rural housing developments. Alison believes that community engagement is often crucial to the success of planning projects. She works closely with the client and design team to ensure the presentation material is robust and clear, and she secures valuable feedback to inform the design process. Alison has organised and attended member briefings, strategic planning meetings with portfolio holders and steering groups where these are appropriate.
Alison is a team player, with sound communication skills and an ability to unravel and prioritise legal and planning issues quickly. Her client base in Pegasus Group is diverse in terms of both client type and planning issues.
