Pegasus Group provided design, heritage and planning expertise to a medium sized house builder, achieving planning success for the redevelopment of a public house site in rural West Berkshire to form 4 dwellings.
The public house was a locally listed building with an associated curtilage, with constraints on development accordingly. The proposals involved retaining and adapting the existing public house to provide a standalone detached dwelling, and erecting 3 detached houses within its curtilage.
The heritage and planning advice provided by Pegasus Group was central to achieving a successful planning strategy, and the quality design detail assisted in gaining planning permission. Further proposals are ongoing for the splitting of the approved dwellings to provide a higher number of houses than those already approved.
