Pegasus Group provided ongoing advice on planning application strategy, and submitting and managing applications in order to bring this agricultural site into residential use within tight policy restrictions on residential development in the green belt.

This involved a sequence of multiple applications for permitted development for residential and storage and distribution uses to maximise the development at the site, and then a full application to redevelop the site for 2 substantial residential dwellings, detached garages and curtilage.

Despite a level of public concern, we were able to successfully present the benefits to the green belt of the proposed redevelopment over the permitted uses to Councillors at the council’s planning committee and received an approval of planning permission.
