Pegasus Group provided planning services for the demolition of existing building and erection of a 2,291 sqm two storey building for class B1 and B8 uses with associated parking and hardstanding.
The site contained a vacant commercial laundry, a sui generis use. The land was designated as a core employment use area in the Reading Local Plan.
Our team in Bracknell submitted a full planning application to Reading Borough Council and secured permission for The White Partnership in a timely manner.
The building has now been completed and it houses two companies. One company assembles roller shutter doors and the other carries out office fit outs.
The dilapidated former laundry buildings have been replaced by a modern contemporary building, with a steel frame and metal sheet cladding and a brickwork plinth, together with a large number of windows to provide natural light.
The development safeguarded 24 jobs and greatly enhanced the appearance of the site.
