Pegasus Group was instructed by Bristol Rovers Football Club (BRFC) to submit and manage a planning application for a new 21,700 seat stadium at land at the University of the West of England (UWE) Frenchay campus.
The application was to be a joint venture between BRFC and UWE.
The proposed all-seater stadium included the provision of a number of additional facilities that were incorporated into the design following further public consultation. These included a club shop, convenience store, supporters bar, gym, banqueting facilities and a media/study centre and teaching rooms including parking for 1000 cars.
The landscape proposals were devised to provide a bold, striking urban setting for the proposed stadium, designed by Arturus Architects, including attractive tree lined frontages, terraces and public art installations. The landscape framework sought to emphasise football club signage, soften engineered embankments, and provide screening between the stadium and surrounding business, residential and university buildings.
Pegasus Group was successful in obtaining planning consent providing the planning, EIA, LVIA and landscape design proposals for the new stadium.
