Pegasus Group were appointed to prepare a submission for an outline planning application on land at Lower Heathcote Farm, Warwick. The development will comprise of 785 residential units, provision of a mixed use community hub/local centre (up to a maximum of 1400 sq.m), providing flexible space for community facilities, potentially including retail units and facilities within use class D1.
Whilst the proposal forms an individual outline planning application, the submission is considered as part of a wide comprehensive development that could include land to the south of Gallows Hill.
The site was subject to a previous outline application by Gallagher Estates which was subsequently withdrawn, however, discussions regarding the potential development of the site with the District Council and relevant stakeholders continued. The proposed new development will create housing choice and new amenity spaces for the existing and new community whilst improving public access across the site and to the wider pedestrian network.
After outline approval Pegasus Group successfully discharged the Design Code condition and prepared reserved matter applications for Bovis Homes and Bellway Homes. The site is currently under construction.
