Pegasus Group gained planning permission for 80 dwellings at a site in Barming, just west of Maidstone. The application formed part of a wider scheme already under construction to the north of Oakapple Lane.
The development will offer housing choice and new amenity spaces to the new community, while also improving public access.
The key constraints of the site included protecting the large number of existing trees that border and cut through the site as well as the area of open space to be located at the centre of the scheme.
The architecture was inspired by the development already under construction which showcases a variety of weatherboarding colours, often found in towns and villages throughout Kent.
A range of housing to meet local needs included 1 and 2 bedroom flats through to larger detached, 4 bedroom properties.
