Pegasus Group is hosting a biodiversity net gain seminar at Thorpe Park Hotel in Leeds on Thursday 2nd May with Kings Chambers and BSG Ecology.

Chancellor Philip Hammond’s spring statement announced that the government will mandate net gains for biodiversity on new developments in England to deliver an overall increase in biodiversity. This commitment builds on the requirement set out within the National Planning Policy Framework to secure measurable net gains through development. In the absence of national guidance, this requirement potentially has significant implications for developers when considering how this might be achieved and what the cost implications might be. This briefing will look at what delivering biodiversity net gain might entail, focussing on the process, planning requirements and potential legal implications.

Speakers will include:

Nigel Cussen – Pegasus Group
Kirsty Kirkham / Steve Betts – BSG
Philip Robson / Piers Riley-Smith – Kings Chambers

The event will start from 8:30am with discussions anticipated to conclude around 10:15am.
