Planning permission has been granted on appeal for the change of use of an industrial park unit in Elstree to provide a training centre for up to 15 students.

Pegasus Group secured the approval on behalf of ERR Ltd against the decision of Hertsmere Borough Council for the unit at Lismirrane Industrial Park, Elstree Road, Elstree.

Andy MeaderAndy Meader, Senior Director in Pegasus Group’s Bracknell office, said: “We were delighted to receive planning permission on appeal for the change of use of a light industrial unit for use as a training and education facility for up to 15 students in Elstree on behalf of ERR Ltd.

“The facility will provide training for adults looking at entering fields of work such as renewable energy, plumbing, electrical, gas and welding services.

“The Council had refused planning permission due to the loss of a light industrial use within an employment area, however we successfully argued that that the Council had been incorrect in their application of their own planning policies regarding this proposal.”

ERR Ltd has six training centres across the country including Wolverhampton, Leeds and Southampton.
